1:1 Online tutoring
1:1 online tutoring that helps your child build the reading, spelling, and writing skills they need to move forward.

Guess at words?
Avoids reading aloud?
Mixes up spelling patterns?
Shuts down when reading?
Your child deserves personalized reading support that helps them become a stronger, more capable reader.
”Your child does not need more random reading practice.
They need targeted instruction that helps them understand how words work, apply that knowledge in real reading and writing, and begin to see themselves as a strong, capable learner.
Many of the learners I support have dyslexia, ADHD, dysgraphia, or other unique learning needs that make traditional reading and writing practice feel frustrating.
When a child struggles with reading, it can affect more than one subject. Reading difficulties can show up during spelling, writing, homework, read-aloud time, comprehension, and even a child’s willingness to try.
Parents often feel stuck because they know their child is bright, but reading keeps getting in the way.
Guesses at words, struggles to read longer words, or avoids reading aloud.
Has trouble spelling words they can say, or gets overwhelmed during homework.
Has dyslexia, ADHD, or dysgraphia tendencies and struggles to stay engaged.
Needs personalized reading support because other programs haven't worked.
Each session is designed around your child’s current needs, building a structured yet adaptable path to success.
During the first session, I complete a reading assessment to see how your child reads, spells, works through words, and responds to support. This helps me create a tutoring plan that targets the skills your child needs most.
After the assessment, tutoring lessons may include sound-spelling work, word reading, spelling, writing, fluency, vocabulary, or comprehension. The lesson is structured but not one-size-fits-all.

Reading and spelling targeted words
Practicing tricky sound-spelling patterns
Breaking longer words into chunks
Reading connected text with support
Writing sentences or short responses
Reviewing missed words in a helpful way
Building strategies your child can use during schoolwork
Your child receives direct instruction, guided practice, and immediate feedback, so mistakes become part of the learning process rather than a reason to shut down.

I partner with parents to help them better understand what is getting in the way of their child’s reading growth and what steps can help to move their child forward.
During tutoring, I look for the skills your child needs most and build from there. I want your child to feel supported, challenged, and encouraged—not rushed through a one-size-fits-all program.
Reading growth takes time, but the right kind of practice makes all the difference.
We will talk about your child’s reading needs, what you have already tried, and what kind of support may help.
During the first session, I complete a reading assessment to better understand your child’s strengths, gaps, and next best steps.
Your child will receive personalized tutoring that focuses on the skills they need most so reading, spelling, and writing can begin to feel more manageable.

Picture your child approaching reading with more tools. Instead of guessing, they begin to slow down and look carefully at the word. Instead of freezing on longer words, they learn how to break them apart. Instead of feeling like reading is something they will never understand, they begin to see that words have patterns they can learn.
That kind of growth matters. Not just for reading class. Not just for spelling tests. But for the way your child learns, writes, thinks, and participates in the world.
